Yesterday was the first time I had enough energy to return to my weekly walks along Chicago’s lakefront. Everything felt like a tiny miracle to experience…
What I learned from my 3 week bout with Covid:
1. Today is a gift not everyone received; regardless of its packaging…count it all joy
2. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us; live like you mean it today
3. Love is a verb that can be felt & brings tangible healing
4. The love we hold & the love we share with one another is the purest of golds and greatest of assets we can ever acquire
5. Gratitude over fear is a daily practice
6. Kindness & Compassion matters more than being right; always will
7. Politicians won’t cry at any of our funerals
8. We share as much in common, as we have differences
9. We mustn’t forget our humanity; and that we are all just trying to find our ways home
10. You are seen, you are known & you are loved my friend
